Outdoor stage 30m2 setup at a live music festival

Introduction

On 6 September 2025, GlintonFest returned to Glinton, Peterborough, for its annual community music festival hosted by PECT and Glinton Parish Council. Under bright skies and with a lively crowd, we had the privilege of supplying our Stage 30 mobile stage  the perfect fit for the event. In this blog, we’ll share how Stage 30 shone in challenging conditions, why its compact size mattered, and how using it at GlintonFest can help you plan better outdoor events too.

Why Stage Selection Matters – Stage 30 in Action

  • Tight Access, Perfect Fit: The festival was held on a primary school field, with narrow gates and limited vehicle access. Our Stage 30 size meant we could deliver and place the stage without becoming a logistical headache. Larger stages would simply not have fitted through the gate or required extensive site preparation.

  • Weather Worked In Our Favour: Clear skies, dry ground, and mild temperatures made setup efficient and risk low. No delays from mud, wind, or downpours — everything went smoothly.

  • Community Vibe & Practicality: Because the site was compact and crowd-friendly, Stage 30’s dimensions allowed for a good audience view without overwhelming the setting. It felt intimate, professional, and accessible.

Event Details & Local Context

GlintonFest 2025 is listed by the organisers PECT as part of their community, music, and cultural events. The festival draws locals around Peterborough, includes food, music, and family-friendly activities.

Ticket sales were brisk, by early promotion and was a sell out!

What This Means for Event Organisers

If you’re planning an event in a similar setting, school fields, parks, venues with narrow or restricted access, here are some takeaways from our experience at GlintonFest:

  1. Choose a stage that fits your access — measure gates and pathways; if you pick a large stage without room, you’ll run into serious delays or costs.

  2. Weather contingency matters — even when the forecast is good, ensure dry access paths and stable ground. Stage 30 handled the site well.

  3. Stage size vs audience sightlines — smaller doesn’t mean less impact. A well-placed, compact stage like Stage 30 delivers good visibility without overwhelming community spaces.

  4. Quick setup saves time & money — with fewer obstacles and simple logistics, you’ll spend less time off schedule, freeing up budget for lighting, sound, or extras.
