Main_Stage_Generators_Stephill-6kVA super-silenced-generator

Stephill 6kVA Generator Hire

We supply the Stephill 6kVA super-silenced generator, a compact and robust solution for powering event equipment. With both 16amp and 32amp outlets, this generator integrates easily with power distribution boards and event setups.

Known for its quiet operation and reliable performance.

The generator’s super-silent canopy makes it especially suitable for events in noise-sensitive areas such as urban venues and public spaces. With a runtime of up to 17 hours on a full tank and simple electric start operation, it’s a trusted choice among event organisers.

Instagrid Portable Battery Pack

For a clean, silent, and low-emission power alternative, we offer the Instagrid 3600W / 2.1kWh portable battery pack. This compact system delivers up to 3.6kW continuous AC power, making it capable of supporting lighting, PA systems, and other event equipment without the noise, fumes, and fuel handling associated with combustion generators.

  • Zero local emissions

  • Silent operation — ideal for music events, and urban spaces.

  • Fast recharge — fully charges in approx. 2.5 hours from a standard 230V socket.

  • An excellent choice where low carbon impact and quiet operation are important — for example, urban London events or locations with strict noise or emissions control policies.

Generator vs Battery
Which Is Right for Your Event?

When to choose a generator

  • Long-duration events without convenient access to mains charging

  • High continuous power demands beyond battery capacity

  • Remote locations where refuelling is practical

When to choose a battery solution

  • Shorter events or where silent operation is critical

  • Urban locations with strict noise or emissions policies

  • Supporting sensitive electronics or PA systems that benefit from clean power

In many cases, a hybrid approach combining generators and batteries offers reliable power with reduced emissions and quieter operation.

Power – Frequently Asked Questions

What power solution do I need for a stage, PA system, and lighting?

The power solution required depends on the size of your stage, PA system, and lighting setup. Smaller to medium events can often be powered using a portable battery system, while larger stages with higher lighting and sound demands may require a generator. We assess your equipment load and event duration to recommend the safest and most efficient option.

Can a battery power pack run a PA system and lighting?

Yes, portable battery power packs such as the Instagrid 3600W system can comfortably run PA systems and low to medium lighting setups. Battery power provides clean, stable electricity and is particularly well suited to shorter duration events, speeches, acoustic performances, and noise-sensitive environments. Depending on the size of the PA system could still power the equipment for several hours!

When is a generator the better option for an event?

Generators are better suited to longer events, higher power demands, or locations where recharging a battery is not practical. A generator provides continuous power for stages with large lighting rigs, high-output PA systems, or multi-day events.

Are there restrictions on using generators at London events?

Some London locations and boroughs have restrictions relating to noise, emissions, and operating hours for generators. Battery power solutions are often preferred in these areas as they produce no exhaust fumes and operate silently, helping organisers comply with local regulations and site requirements.

How long will a battery power pack last at an event?

Battery runtime depends on the total power load connected. For example, a PA system and basic lighting can often run for several hours on a single battery pack. We calculate expected runtimes based on your equipment to ensure sufficient power for your event.

Can you advise which power option is best for my event?

Absolutely. We work with event organisers to assess power requirements, site conditions, and local restrictions before recommending the most suitable generator, battery, or hybrid solution.
